Cotton Blanket

Looking for that perfect blanket to keep you warm, well the cotton blanket just might be the answer to your problems. The internet is full of blanket and bedding manufacturers and allows you to get the best deals every time.

I know it sounds silly but a warm cotton blanket really can make everything better.  Recently I was extremely sick and in the hospital and I had been there for days.  On top of that I am pregnant and extremely emotional.  While I was in the hospital they were having a really hard time trying to figure out what was wrong with me and they had an IV in me and a monitor on the baby.  I couldn’t have been more uncomfortable but they wouldn’t let me get up.

Late one night a nurse came into my room because she could hear me crying and wasn’t sure if there was something wrong or just something bothering me.  She did what most nurses in that hospital would do.  Come in, look at your machines and stats and then leave you laying there sobbing.  But this nurse was different.  She back in a few minutes later with a warmed cotton blanket and two cups of tea.  Then she shocked me even more when sat down next to me and asked me what was wrong.  I started balling and just let it all out and she just sat there and listened and when I was done she asked how I felt and surprisingly I did feel better.  In fact I actually felt sleepy which is something that I hadn’t done in a while.  She left the room again and came back in with another warm cotton blanket and took the now cooled one and covered me with the warm one.  I fell right to sleep like I was a child who had just been calmed by her mother.  She did this for me nearly every night.

When they finally sent me home I was still having trouble sleeping and my husband called the hospital to ask for advice.  He got that same nurse on the phone and she told him about the warm cotton blanket that she would give me.  When he got off the phone he told me that he had to go to the store to pick something up.  He came home with three of the same type of cotton blanket that they had in the hospital and he put them in the dryer to get them warm and brought them one at a time until I fell asleep.  For some reason the warm cotton blanket really does the trick for me and now we have decided to buy more of them online (since we found them on sale) for our friends, family and of course we will get one for our baby too!  The cotton blanket makes all of the ouchies and sorrows fade away into its comfort.
